The crossed swords under your minimap now open Crystal Events: the home of the Crystal Arena, and soon of the Boss Events too. From today the arena is open for everyone. Look for the swords with the soft golden glow and click them.

Crystal Arena

• Matchmade fights in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5. Pick a mode, queue, and the arena finds opponents close to your rating. Everyone accepts, and the fight starts in a private pit.

• Ranked or Skirmish: ranked games move your rating and earn Arena Points, skirmish games are practice with nothing at stake.

• Solo or as a team: queue on your own, or found a named team for 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 or 5v5 with your friends and climb the team ladders together.

• Fair pits: no mounts, buffs from outside are removed (potions and dews are fine), a short buff phase before the fight, and only a knock-out wins. When the time runs out, it is a draw.

Season 1, tiers and Arena Points

• Season 1 starts today and runs for 30 days. Your rating sets your tier: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond with three divisions each, and Master at the top.

• Ladders and statistics for every mode, solo and team, and your match history with the full scoreboard of every game.

• Arena Points: 30 for a ranked win, 10 for a loss or a draw, and 50 more for your first win of the day, up to 300 a day. Only fighters who really fought get them. Keep them: the Arena Shop opens soon.

• Arena Shop: trade your Arena Points for useful items and rare prizes. The best of them will ask for a high tier, and the points you earn now stay yours until the shop opens.

• Boss Events: the Boss Rush (a flood of bosses in the desert with camps by level, waves and elites), the World Boss (one giant against the whole server, ranked by damage) and Raids (a party dungeon with waves, a final boss and a weekly lockout). We announce the start here in the news.

Also new since 0.4.0

• Resize the game like any window (2.28 to 2.30): drag an edge or maximise it and the interface follows at once. A new resolution or interface size in Options applies straight away, without a restart.

• Interface size (2.25, 2.27): draw the whole interface bigger on big screens, with sharp text.

• A refreshed Support window (2.25, 2.26): one page to open a ticket, screenshots straight from the game (press F12 and clip any window), and a chat line plus a dot on the Support button when staff reply.

• Chat and text boxes (2.24): the chat sits in the middle above the taskbar; Ctrl + arrows jump a word and Shift + arrows select text.

• Halloween items can be traded (2.23): the Pumpkin Lantern and the Pumpkin Collection's pets and mounts.
